LOL, I felt the same about Jan on the Rags blog. Maybe it's good luck to not have a blog? I have not followed Ben this year but if he is as fair and balanced as Jan I will enjoy reading his blogs. LGD!!!!! |

I've read a lot of Jan's stuff, and he's great. The Rags fans don't deserve him! I've read less of Mr. Shelly's blogs, but they seem completely on point. Hopefully a good series and an opportunity to better familiarize ourselves with Ben's work!

Goaltending and special teams will win this series. If the Canes' can get the same performance or better out of the Raanta/Anderson tandem, and our PP continues to score at a decent clip, I feel CAR can advance.
Interesting side note, since BOS is out, CAR has a chance to continue home ice advantage with a strong Round 2. I sense a close series and a few OT's sessions for sure. |

That's one thing I'll be interested in. Canes D is great but the real difference for the Devils in facing the Canes instead of the Rangers is how hard the Canes are on both the forecheck and the backcheck.
They don't wait for you to make a mistake and try to capitalize on it. It's constant pressure all over the ice and chaos around the net.
If the Devils D can recover dump ins and get the play turned the other way quickly then I think they have the guns to make quick work of Carolina. If the Canes can get in and get on top of them though..... |
