If they were to seriously consider that then they'd be considering blowing it all up and pretty much nobody should be off-limits to move, except for players with full NTC's. This team isn't even remotely close to a contender without Sorokin so trading him would necessitate a full-on fire sale |

Im laughing because I’m not sure which part of your post is more ridiculous. The hurry up and trade him quick before he loses value part or trading him for more offense. This should not be considered. |

Goalies are going to be a hot commodity this year. And how many teams with Vezina quality goalies are left in the playoffs? I'd consider trading him if it brought back some consistent scoring for a team that simply CAN NOT score.

They should probably look to acquire scoring another way rather then giving up their best player to get it. Whatever return we got for Sorokin wouldn’t be enough as far as his worth for this team. Team is in a tough spot as far as contracts but the only sensible reason to trade Sorokin would be if we were doing a full tear down where the return would be picks/prospect focused. I highly doubt we are doing that for multiple reasons. |

Who would play net for this high powered offense you are developing? Because while this team has trouble scoring. Take away the goalie and we will have trouble defending too.

It really shouldn't. The return would have to be tremendous. Tremendous to the point that no other team would be willing to meet the threshold. |

It’s brutal. I’ve only been able to use my phone occasionally lately, as a google or spectrum malware ad of some type pops up and takes over my phone, saying I’ve won something. Sitting outside now having a drink and a cigar so no way to use my computer. Which I rarely use anymore. Really hoping your Tkachuk “hero” prediction comes to fruition. Although they’re winning without him now so that’s nice. |

If it weren’t for that group, I’d care less how we’ll the leafs did. Makes it so easy to root against them. Such douchebags.
**surprised you didn’t get a ban for answering a question and having an opinion 😂😂 |

That thread pretty much mirrors any Leaf fan I’ve met. I’ve met quite a few. There’s a reason why they are one of the most hated fanbases in sports and it’s not because the Leafs are so awesome and we’re all just jealous like they like to say. Disliked the Leafs since the 80’s. |

Elite skater lineups can win a SC with average goaltending, i.e; Colorado last year. However, the Islanders will not have an elite lineup of skaters in the near future. Sorokin is an elite goalie that can steal games/series singlehandedly. |

If any current playoff team had Sorokin they would probably be the favorite to win the cup. Obviously it's not that simple. I don't see how any franchise could trade away that kind of talent without a ridiculous return.
Sorokin is the type of player that a franchise builds around. I'm not sure how the Isles in their current position can do that. |

Hey, remember when the Isles fans were trashed for throwing things on the ice? Does anyone expect the press to trash the Leaf fans for the same thing?
BTW I hate anyone throwing things on the ice. |

Exactly. i dislike some teams because I’m sick of them winning, like the Pens for example. Been since the 50s I believe since the leafs won and they still act like they’re the Yankees. It’s hilarious actually. I wish I was. On H’buzz back when the Bruins were down in the series and down like 3 goals going into the 3rd period of game 7, and the Bs came back, won the gsme and the series. Filthy. |

Well, it's got to be disappointing winning the cup every October only to lose every May. |
