Florida hasn't faced a defense like Carolina's. Granted, no team has a defense as good as Carolina's. Boston was way overrated defensively due to elite goaltending all regular season. Once the goaltending went average, their defense was solid but nothing special. Toronto is pretty average defensively. Brindamour has a completely suffocating team defense. I'm taking Carolina in 6 on this one.

Yes, please underestimate and overlook the Panthers. They barely made it in; only because Pittsburgh choked. They fluked their way to the ECF. They're just goons. They didn't play anybody good, except for Boston (135 pts) and Toronto (111 pts). For those keeping score at home, that's 246 points vanquished so far versus 205 by Carolina. Yep, it's gonna be a Canes cake walk.

I picked Florida to win in 7 against Boston on this very site. I did pick Toronto over them in 6 so you can criticize that if you'd like, but I don't think I am underestimating the team overall compared to most. Few gave them any chance against Boston. I didn't say they have no chance against Carolina. Then again, Carolina is missing Svechnikov, TT, and Pacioretty so let's not pretend they are at full strength either (TT might return). I have nothing against Florida and would be happy to see them win the SC. I simply do not think they are as good of a team as some others.

Carolina is vastly superior to challenging puck carriers at the blue line and regaining possession in the d zone compared to the teams Florida has faced. Florida has been very successful entering the O zone with puck possession and punishing opponents in transition. I don't expect Florida to be able to exploit that so easily against Carolina. That said, Carolina is also more limited offensively so the tradeoffs for Florida to win are there.

The playoffs have been pretty bad thus far. There have been so many lopsided games. I feel like this series has the potential to finally be entertaining playoff hockey with a bunch of close games. I'm hoping it lasts all 7.

Toronto was the 7th best team defensively. I wouldn't call it average. .

Everyone keeps talking about how Carolina is "done" due to injury. They weren't going to win the metro and they did. They weren't going to beat the devils and they did.

I hope people realize this team isn't a push over. Very easily could win the whole thing.

Carolina was my pick to go to the cup final since day 1 of seasons start. Get it done.

predicting the outcome of a series is challenging and subject to various factors. It'll be interesting to see how the teams perform and which team bitlife ultimately comes out on top. Enjoy the games!
