Ek is silly but I actually like the idea of Leafs being interested in Dumba.

All in all a fun season, Leafs lose in leafy fashion which sets the stage for a fun offseason.

If the Oilers lose this will be the worst final 4 in quite some time in terms of generating interest from fans.

Toronto needs more players who hate to lose, more than they want to win (as stated in the Moneyball movie). They don't have tenacity out there in long spurts as is needed in the playoffs. Look at the remaining teams...they play tough, and rarely take a shift off.

$7.5M per year until like 2030? No way, I can think of many players who bring the same for less than that...

Since some are proposing a trade of 88... Let me offer this.

88 for Drew Helleson and unprotected 1st next yr.

Leafs should extend Dubas and let him finish what he started but only if he fires Keefe. They definitely need a structure change and Keefe has shown he will not adapt. Matthews should not be offered anymore then the cap hit he already is taking up. If he doesn't sign the Leafs have to trade him, can't let him walk for nothing. One thing is, its going to be OE interesting summer...

For me Dubas stays. Keefe is gone. I would be ok with Boudreau but prefer Gallant. Hell maybe have Bruce as assistant if he would take it.

Roster Matthews maybe if he wants to go gets moved but thats a question mark. I think Nylander likely is the one. I'd look at Seattle with olenty of picks there as a possible trade partner. Up front there is Knies. Go find another winger and actually have two complete too lines. Let ZAR go and get Donato. Holmberg replaces Kampf.

I think the major move is going to be either Matthews or Nylander. Maybe both.

Dumba would be an interesting add on the back end too though only if its not blocking the younger guys.

Most of this is probably true.

The unfortunate part is, of the Core 4, Willy was the best guy in the playoffs. And, he also has the most attractive contract of the 4.

But, Marner going nowhere, he is the local sweetheart. Tavarez full "No-trade". he is there until contract ends. Matthews tough case. Great goal scorer. 0 goals and 2 assists in 5 games vs Florida?. awful. But, how can you move such a great goal-scorer. Very tough.

I know, if any of the 4 go anywhere...it is Willy....just don't know if it helps much, or if Dubas would even really do it.

This sucks. I am getting a crash course in what it's like to be a Leafs fan. It's doesn't sit well to watch a team loaded with skill do this poorly in the playoffs.

It was a good thing to break the first round curse, and that's some measure of progress I guess. But, this current roster lacks the magic sauce to get it done. I put the lion's share of that on Queef.

I was too sick to watch the game. Fever, chills and headache so bad I couldn’t even watch on IPad. When neighbours next door screamed I checked to see the goals. Things got very quiet in OT so….
