Houston Coyotes eh?
Can't give Atlanta a 3rd try, F them and everyone who looks like them. - IonSabres
Atlanta Thrashers failed because they didn’t have an arena deal, and other factors with ownership that really had nothing to do with lack of local fan interest. Considering how much that area has grown since, with a lot of northern transplants, they would definitely give the huge media market that is Atlanta another go. The only thing stopping them is the conferences are evenly balanced East/West, at a nice even number of 16 per conference.
Houston probably is next stop for the Coyotes, unless they have a viable plan E or F ready to unveil in AZ.

Hey think that's bad? Devils are still waiting if we can pass the canes for first in the division

The place is going to hell.
Sabres have had very good run for I'm guessing 6 years, maybe more with Hank and Michael before him.
We'll see what Brad brings.

Maybe like I did when I was a kid, they could bribe the overnight crew at A local outdoor rink at midnight to play. We had 15 or so of us ante up a couple/three bills and pay the guy..and a couple of beers.
Ice quality might be harsh there, but oh boy if they thought 0layong on a college rink was a great throw back, imagine having 10 or 12 fans in the bleachers watching!
Analytics footprint is all of the Sabres prospects.
The depth fill in players like your hinostroza for example. Are just that. Good guys who were supposed to fill in spots for rookies for a year or 2.
Comrie wasn’t even that bad of a whiff. 2.75 mill for 2 years.
This year …. If he played well. How 2.75 years as a steal. He flopped. His 2.75 mill gets off the books before it hurts in a couple years - Sabretooth9
They have done a good job at filling holes in the pipeline other than Defense. They have done nothing with there goaltending for 3yrs. They sat on Bryson and Fitzgerald when there Defense has been bad since they got here.
Things are developing nicely, there's been good and bad things. Let's see how good they are, next 2yrs should be very big for this Organization and Adams and Co. Could put a huge stamp on that.

I mentioned this before here I think.
I have a buddy who lived in Glendale for 3 years.
The biggest issue with the coyotes was the arena. The arena was 45 minutes to an hour to get to with traffic. The arena is next to the football stadium which is out in the middle of no where.
Recreational hockey itself ….. is growing. Those kids that live in the Phoenix area have had the coyotes to watch and learn hockey.
The reason why bettman doesn’t want to leave is because the NHL sunk millions into growing the sport in that state.
The crazy part is …. It worked.
So imagine investing a lot of money into something that was slowly working and then this happening
It’s devastating.
And no Quebec is not the answer. Still a poopy place to live and doesn’t grow hockey in America

The ownership group is an embarrassment at best.
The taxpayers don't want it as demonstrated by their vote
Time to move on, IMO.

I think the NHL is learning from the Atlanta chaos
they start growing it and kids start to play the game, and then they move to calgary
fast forward and the same thing happens with the thrashers
literally was exploding with kids hockey at the time they move to canada
if they rode the storm out, team would be thriving in atlanta now

Atlanta was the same issue with the thrashers.
Put an NHL team in Marietta or Alpharetta and it thrives.
