Probably reflective of where society has evolved to in general. It used to be if you didn't spank your kids you were responsible for unleashing entitled little brats into the world, now if you spank them you're a murderer.

It's why people like AA and Santo are the way they are. 🤷

If by canceled you mean fired for going under .500 in his last season and pissing off everyone in the organization and then collecting $5M/year for 4 years and waiting till he got his last MLSE cheque before signing with Columbus, then yes Mike Babcock was cruelly cancelled.

I'm not advocating or even endorsing the hire... it just seems to me that a lot of the complaints seems to be overblown.. I didn't think he was all that with us as a coach... he got lucky with a goalie run for the ages.. but inso far as complaints from players here on abuse .. .we never heard any.

Agreed. But that's not how coaching works .. at least in my experience.
