Brad Lohr: When Times are Low, Look to Perrault. - Brad Lohr
Gil was my hero growing up, a combination of class and of course ridiculous ability. Everybody always talks about Hasek being the franchise's best player ever, and it's hard to argue.....but it was and is always Gilbert Perreault for me. |

I was at a stag the other night and won a sweet autographed rookie sweater by Eichel. Authenticated and everything. What was surprising to me was online it says they go for like 200 - 600. I figured noone would want these. |

I can’t understand for the life of me why people are opposed to this.

If they want to give him a 1 or 2 year deal at a modest salary, fine, but if they want to throw a 5 year $35M deal at him, well, fück that noise.
But what they should really be doing is sitting down with other teams about a real fücking goalie, not a rookie and the Wonder Twins. |

Pretty sure it would be a 1 or 2 year, maybe even handshake agreement to trade him at the TDL but they need to put asses in the seats and literally half of Buffalo would buy a Kane 88 jersey the second he signed.
I think Comrie bounces back and surprises people if he’s healthy. I don’t hate the idea of riding 3 goalies as much as the rest of you but I wouldn’t hate Gibson and we all know I have been clamoring for Helly for a couple years now.

Just as long as one is an established vet. Like an Anderson, but one who could play two or three times a week if necessary until Levi finds his feet. I think NHL goalie is the only position in sports that you can ruin by playing too much, too early if they're not quite ready. |

He's a winger, he needs neither great skating nor good speed. Exhibit A: (ear muffs, Boss) Sam Reinhart. poop, Tavares might be worse and he plays center.
I'm not thrilled with the idea, but with Quinn going down they need someone. Ideally he'd play like 16 minutes and whichever of the kids is playing well plays his own minutes plus a few of Kane's would-be shifts. |

Patrick Kane underwent hip resurfacing surgery on Thursday and is expected to take four-to-six months to recover, his agent Pat Brisson announced, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.Jun 1, 2023 |

What about NFL running back? Hahahaha j/k
I do disagree though - you either have it or you don’t. Individual stats are effected by team defense and I understand as someone who’s played goalie - those hips/knees/groin can take a beating but for every time I made a spectacular save, I was also hung out to dry endlessly by terrible team defense.
Last year the team showed they can play team offense. I sincerely doubt Granato takes the same approach this year.
Even if our PP takes a huge dip, the PK can’t get much worse. Power is a year older, Dahlin tightened up at the end of the year and our stats with and without Samuelsson were night and day.
I’m looking at Levi and seeing some Carey Price in him. Comrie will have a fire lit under his ass. UPL had a winning record.
Idk. With teams like Washington, Pittsburgh, Boston getting old (and Boston losing Bergeron and Krejci is huge) and Tampa Bay playing 700 games the past 4 years, I can see those teams struggling. Florida, New York, I don’t think they are as good as they are projecting to be either.
Detroit might finally have a team but their goaltending is also an issue. Toronto/Tampa/NYR avoided injuries last season and the Islanders are meh.
Hurricanes and Devils are the only sure locks for me.
