Naming anything of permanence to honor the work Jay did? SURE!
His innate knowledge of the early workings of the team is well worth treasuring, memorializing, and (for the real fans) re-reading. |

Bill, thank you for another great post!
Bobby Clarke, Bernie Parent, Eric Lindros and Mark Howe are the top 4 all time Flyers in my opinion.
Does Bob Clarke still come to watch any of the practices or games in person? I know a few folks on here don’t like the “ old guard” influence on the team but the Flyers should embrace the iconic former players as ambassadors at least. There would have NOT have been a Stanley Cup without him. |

Embrace them? Absolutely!
Allow them to have any influence on how the team is run in 2023? No, no thank you. |

Yep not looking for the “old guard” to influence trades or organization selections but not including them as part of the team would be a shame and a mistake in my opinion!
PS. If some of the “old guard” has options or thoughts to share if ASKED by players or managers I’m still good with that too. As long as they are NOT part of the decision tree to make the final call. |

Used to look forward to getting home from school and reading the Daily News, from back to front, to read Jay's articles on the Flyers. Fantastic writer. |

Ok, analytics wizards. Here's your chance to be part of the solution. The Flyers are adding another hire in the department .

Send this to Feanor. It must be heard that Sanheim by the numbers should be anchoring that top pair. Provorov has held him back for too long. |

Hopefully the current regime will actually pay attention to them. Listening to Jones and Torts though, makes me very much doubt that. |

I appreciate Torts going with his gut. Coaching is a gut decisions type of job but you can’t ignore all avenues when they’re presented to you when all else fails. |

Going with your gut, occasionally, is fine. Completely discounting analytics, which Torts has publicly acknowledged, is just wrong. The game has passed Tortorella by, hopefully Briere figures this out soon. |

That is the problem; their egos are so big you can't separate the two. The game has passed them by three-fold, so I say good riddance..... |

something I dont get. When I go to the store I park far away not near anyone. Get a little exercise and dont want my car dinged. Yet there is still always a peep who parks next to me. Why? |

My teen recently got his DL. He drove to the gym the other day using your parking strategy. The lot was empty when he returns to his isolated car. A 40ish woman pulls alongside his car waving as she approaches. He waves back. But she keeps waving then blows kisses. Then she drives off like a bat out of hell. Why?

Why? - hello it's me 2050 I guess people have separation anxiety? I'm the same way. If the parking lot is half full (or even more empty than that) I always try to allow extra spaces between my car and the others. Too many dingbats that don't pay attention and will ding your car. Then you come back out and some jackass with one of those unnecessary huge trucks parks right next to you and you can't see a friggin thing. It's a total mystery to me. |

The best stop is to pull in and park 1 stop away from the light pole. You have the light if it is gets dark and people usually don’t park were the pole is so odds are the spot next to you stays open.
