Still waiting to see what happens with my Xfinity. I'm fine with keeping it as long as I can keep getting the Detroit sports package with my 4K starter pack (140 channels plus ESPN, and Bally sports). I get it bundles with fast Internet and I love the X1 DVR.

Thankfully I don’t think it’s a renegotiation year with Xfinity. But, the push to put ESPN on streaming only is very much a priority. It’s a stupid move and they found out last week. I used to love having Xfinity. I worked for Comcast and it was an awesome perk for the gig. Comcast and others have threatened Bally that they may remove their spot if payments aren’t on time

Pulju plays hard but the guy looks totally lost most of the time. It's kind of chaotic.

DTV is trying to tell me that Center Ice won't be impacted, which is fine but doesn't account for streaming games. They cut the price to $69, which tells me the CI of this year will not be anywhere near the CI of the past.

Friend from Scotland is visiting for a few weeks. Gave me the low-down on how a fire-stick type item used in conjunction with a VPN service could help but it all hinges on who will holds broadcast rights for the season. Disney's losing it all, quickly. The NHL doesn't seem to be doing anything to help establish some sort of plan....I know individual teams negotiate rights but I'm still waiting for final word on whom I must rely to watch the Wings. This is SO frustrating, but thankfully you're giving us insight into current updates and trying to sooth-say for us!!!!

I am not pleased with what is coming down with the broadcast. I have Dish now with ESPN but not ESPN+. No Bally on DISH. My Internet is via cell signal, so steaming is subject to cell traffic. It would cost me over $6K to have cable brought to my house, and it is only 600 ft away. (same for Nat Gas, and city water, but that is another story).
So I guess I will need a VPN and take my chances, or find a sports bar (I don't drink).

Move to Curtis or Newberry!!! Beautiful country up there, H. Truly God's country.....ANYWAY, the pricing for streaming services across the board is climbing. If I get the low-down on VPN, will message you. My son is a tech wizzard, 'bout time he starts payin' us back for letting him live 🤣🤣🤣. Pricing of all of these networks is just insane, and unless ypu buy a premium package, you still have commercials.... Again, Jeremy's been talking about this for a while, and he's been fairly accurate so I'm watching what he tells us and preparing for a last-minute shift in television.

Folks around me who have a VPN set up say it pretty easy....they had their kids set it up and give them steps to change locations (he's from ME, she' a southern lady), just need reliable interwebs....I just upgraded our WiFi to 1 gig....pricy, but is really fast with the ability to have numerous devices attached without degrading signal strength.

Not moving til the housing market crashes. Prices are 3 times higher than 4 years ago and the big city people are moving here in droves!

There are some really good and legitimate VPN options. I used to stay away from recommending them but it makes more sense at this point for security and just being able to watch the games. It’s still in debate, but if you see any headlines that the Tik Tok bill makes it to the senate brace yourself. A ban on VPNs was slapped on the back of it. It’s a stupid add on likely paid for with a briefcase of non sequential bills
