Grebyonkin keeps proving MiB's 19th raking laughable. - GreatGigInTheSky
Looking forward to seeing this kid take advantage of some increased mins.
According to PPP, in the pre-season this year he was on the top EV and PP lines. He also PKs and has good size (that he doesn't take advantage of... yet).
Good article here on him (PPP ranked him #12 on their Top 25 under 25):

I went to that Amsterdam Brewery on the waterfront the other day. It was underwhelming. But I'd been kayaking and it was there.

Really? Too bad.
I must confess I haven't been there since before the pandemic.
But I have had a few really nice lunches on the back patio, looking out at the lake.
Their brewpub in Leaside is also a good spot. |

I'd personally have him a few spots up on that. Over Abruzzese, Hirvonen, and Cowan for now. |

jays became clutchy and the Ranges unclutched
advanced stats
Chris Black
@DownToBlack
For the first 4 months of the season, Texas had the best average with runners in scoring position in Major League Baseball & the Jays ranked 26th.
I'm sure the Rangers were described as clutch, patient, locked in, etc.. but...
RISP Avg Since Aug 1
Rangers 28th, Blue Jays 2nd
Chris Black
@DownToBlack
What is the likelier truth?
Rangers process at the plate completely deteriorated in these situations recently while simultaneously, Toronto's process completely improved.

I am more confident in this Jays team winning the WS than 2016
They have to make it though.
Texas sucking ass is helping that. |

Comment follow up from last blog (ok more of a statement but it's just my opinionated one).
Nylander will not be traded during this season unless the Leafs are far from a playoff spot AND they (Tree) feels there is no way the 2 sides will come to an agreement on a deal.
The concept of 'trade him in season for other good stuff, or prospects/picks etc.' just seems very far fetched at this point considering if they wanted to do that they had this entire off season to do so. It feels more like something those who don't really like him as a player hope for but it's highly unlikely to happen.
I'll even predict he stays in Toronto. Full stop - no prediction on the contract value or term as it's just too hard to pin down. I do really think he stays here and once that deal is done we can all digest it and decide if we like it or hate it, that's going to be my approach - I'd like to keep him but not overpay for what he brings.
Guess we will see - at least we are closing in on hockey starting up again!
