I watched Titanic at the Coliseum Famous Players by Square One. Yes, I cried.

not me, i fully understand where you're coming from and it's convenient to bake bacon when I'm making a whole bunch of it, but cast iron pan with bacon low and slow is still my favourite

I'm a bit of a bacon snob, the difference I find is that baked bacon can be very crisp but can be very crumbly, whereas crispy bacon fried in cast iron is crispy but a bit more bite so it doesn't fall apart when you chomp on it. To each their own, I prefer the latter.

The danger with frying pan is people that cook it on too high heat or not long enough, soft bacon

Personally I find the perfect blend is a bit of chew with slight crisp.
