Give Lassi a chance. This kid was completely botched as a prospect in Ottawa. Mostly DJ smith being a tool of a coach for the Sens. He skates smooth and can move the puck. Insulate him with a good veteran for a season and you've probably got a reliable 4-5 guy down the road. |

Hello friends in the Anaheim Ducks thread!
I need some help with my fantasy draft coming up tonight.
How would you consider the chances of Leo Carlsson sticking in the lineup for the whole season? I need to draft a rookie and he's obviously up there on the list in terms of potential guy to take.
Thanks in advance!

PV said yesterday that Carlsson would be up all year. Last night he skated with Zegras and Terry. He also skated a couple games with Strome and Vatrano and had a sweet assist on a Strome goal.
Nice to see Drysdale back and hopefully out to prove that he is healthy and underpaid. The D still looks chaotic against better opposition, but we haven't seen the Ducks top 6 D-men on the ice at the same time yet and they're all learning a new system. Not even sure we know yet who the top 6 are beyond Fowler, Gudas, and Drysdale who hasn't played yet. I assume Lyubushkin is on that list and Mintyukov and LaCombe seem to be getting the longest look among the kids in camp. Might not happen this year, but Mintyukov is going to be an impact player. |

Dude was brutal last night. Two blatant turnovers led to Arizona goals. He got an assist later in the game, so that was a positive. Right now, I believe he'll be sent to San Diego to figure out the system. Not the worst place to go play hockey! |

To be fair the entire D against AZ looked like the swarm never left... What the hell they've been doing in practice sure has not shown up in the last couple of games against LA and AZ... the D ... wait for it ... actually looked worse.
When the season starts this is what I would like to see.
Cam / Jamie.
Minty / Gudas
Z and the Boosh.

...talk about insider trading.
There had to be a gentleman's agreement on Lassi goin back. I wonder what future considerations will be coming the Ducks way a year or two from now. |

I do believe it was insurance for Drysdale holdout -
Vertank didn't really want to start the season with 3 Rookies on the backend ... damn near 4
LaCombe / Luneau and Minty making the team and Baby z right behind them..
But with Jamie signed - didn't need that insurance anymore.
