Money will be moved on the 1st when Dvo comes back.
Gally can't play anymore.. or at least cant follow the play
This teams need a #1 RHD to mova Savard and Kova down a chair. (Didn't like Savard's play on the xmass gift from Allen... a Better D core would've prevented that goal).
Penalties... penalties penalties! Gotta play smarter. |

The fact the Habs outscored the Leafs 4-1 at 5 on 5 yet still lost tells the whole story. Special teams killed them.

They panic and take penalties, we saw it last year, and the year before that. Some of them seemed weak calls to me, but that does not matter. Very undisciplined, especially the ones taken in the Leaf's end for no reason.

One day, the Habs will hire good specialty teams coaches... Other than Luke Richarson, it has been a dead zone for a decade or longer.

Agreed. And it's a learning process. That's an area they absolutely must improve on this year to move towards a successful rebuild, IMO. |

Agreed, penalties usually happen when we can't clear our zone fast enough.
PS: Good summary Miss K. |

Habs need better goaltending right now! Not later! Use some of those picks we have and some of those defensive prospects we are loaded with and go get a proven goalie with a GAA under 2.5! Both our goalies are above GAA of 3! Losing games where we score 5 goals is going to be the norm not just a once in awhile thing! |

Habs ruined my morning. I crashed laughing to myself with the Leafers losing by 2 goals. How in the Hell do you lose track of Matthews twice with the goalie pulled? The one guy that you need to cover.... I did not want a good start from Toronto and you had them down and out |

I'm not sure him shooting from a no angle shot from the side of the net was "losing" him but fine. |

Leafs tried their best to gift the game to the Habs... While Allen had his moments, 2 really soft goals sank them, then they did not score on the OT PP, Suzuki did not even get a shot off in the shootout, and CC followed-up by hitting the post.
Neither team played well enough to deserve any points, but was still a fun (if at times frustrating) game to watch.

Pete!
you can also blame Reaves for hiding for the rest of the game. never wanted a 2nd chance. he may be smarter than he looks. |

Did you watch that game? It was incredibly lopsided, no?
Leafs made a few dumb mistakes but also completely dominated play, start to finish
And clearly Jake Allen is two words |

Hiding? What I saw was Xehgokphfsysl shoving Reaves into the net in order to prematurely end the fight. Smart move on his part

Leafs dominated so much they lost 4-1 in goals scored in 5 on 5.

Oh! definitively ... very entertaining game.
There were lots of positives to take from this game:
- Our 2nd line impressed me, nice to finally have 2 lines that can be a threat. Who knew that having decent centermen would make a difference, something the previous GM never understood.
- Dach continued where he left off last year, one of HuGo's best trade to date.
- Slaf had his best game as a Hab, it's only one game but I liked what I saw.
- Our 4th line scored 2 goals, what a nice bonus ... anyone missed Armia?
- Wifi is a (frank)ing beast, I wouldn't want to mess with him.
On the negative side of things:
- Allen was in a generous mood but he did better in OT.
- Our 3rd line was as slow as molasses in January.
- Either the game is faster or he's slowing down but Gally didn't look like he belonged on an NHL roster last night. I really like the guy so I hope he finds his game back.
- We couldn't get out of our zone for long stretches which led to penalties that ultimately cost us the game.
