Karine Hains: In Hainsight: Dach Down and Out The injury ninja wasted no time striking the Montreal Canadiens, the team has announced that Kirby Dach had suffered a significant injury and that he would be out long term.

Making what was is bound to be a long season even longer.

*sigh*

Well, time for others to step up and see what they can do. If nothing else, injuries have forced players into roles faster than expected.

I thought the performance the habs gave last year was acceptable and watchable during most games, considering the excruciating injury plague.

I was looking forward to this year to see what they could do when healthy, not sure I'm gonna continue watching every (frank)ing game though if guys just keep getting injured, a frustrating situation that kinda takes the fun out of it all.

well, on a more positive note, Jeff Petry is a healthy scratch for a 2nd game in a row, so there's that...

if I'm not mistaken they're having a very decent start to the season, hopefully you'll be entertained.

edit: oh so their record so far is 1-1, I was confused by the pre-season games because you can't tell them apart on the NHL schedule.

start time is 6 for some reason so i'm gonna miss all the home opener stuff cause i won't get there in time but at least it means i won't miss much of the game because all the home opener stuff will take a while.

they'll probably lose. i just hope gritty comes near us.

I missed the game but apparently the habs' home opening ceremonies on Saturday were kind of pathetic lol.

not a big fan of ceremonies but they usually get that kind of thing right, not sure what happened but oh well.

I think I will be fine until we start getting into the long part of the season, after the holidays and into the new year.

My hope is that after last year, they are just just being extra cautious with injuries and recovery time.

if Dach is out for an extended period of time they aren't just being cautious... but yeah they definitely had to do something different this year for sure, if they start the same NHL record-breaking injury trend as last season, then (frank) everything.

tks Karine, really unfortunate for Dach.
question. did they change the rules for assault?
the guy who hit Dach skated half the ice before throwing him off the board. yet I didn't hear anything at the time or since about a possible penalty.

they could definitely change this website's name to weirdas(frank).com, actually has a nice ring to it.

(it's probably already taken though, I'm curious but I feel I might regret it if I check it out lol...).
