If Holtz can't capitalize against 3rd liners how will he against 1st or 2nd?

Everyone else had to earn their place, so does Holtz.

He's had a few yrs to work on what they told him and he didn't. Should the organization put the brakes on its goals to accommodate Holtz?

Bottom 6 guys don’t JUST play bottom 6 opponents. It’s also harder to score with lower quality linemates and with less minutes.

We drafted him for his shot to play top 6 mins and never put him in a real position to use it.

Most players aren’t Ovechkin caliber and it’s silly to expect them to just score with anybody

Maybe start the Fire Lindy chants will get this team going

I understand and I am a huge Holtz supporter. But you can't just give a kid the spot, just because. You need to earn it. This is very important for the whole organization, including Utica.

I'm sure there are players in Utica that deserve the spot over Holtz through work ethic, but this was Holtz do or die season, so they are giving him his chance.

But considering the whole team sucks now I wouldn't think the spotlight is on him. When the team gets it going im sure he will too and all this will be moot.

He has earned it. There’s nothing left to prove in the AHL.

I agree that the team is playing like poop and Holtz alone won’t fix it. But this is the perfect time to put him there. What are we worried will happen? We’ll be down 0-3 to Florida in the first two periods…oh wait, that’s already happened

Benching Timo is beyond stupid. Timo isn’t some diva player that needs to learn a lesson. He needs repetitions with his new team.
