Hmmm...maybe it's not "the goaltending"...or "the defense"....or "secondary scoring".

For whatever reason, the current Edmonton Oilers just do not care if they lose. For me it has always started with Draisaitl, one of the laziest players in the NHL. Yeah yeah....he scores a lot from the right side dot. Awesome!

This team needs heart and nobody has it.

I'm confused. I was assured that with McDavid missing, the team would definitely play a more sound defensive game. Not exactly how it went game 1 without McDavid.

Can't compete when the goalie is giving up at least one soft goal every game. Even last night, Hartman's first goal came off poor rebound control by Campbell where he put the puck right out in the slot. No defense in the world can prevent that. If you expect an NHL team in the cap era to overcome this level of goaltending, you are delusional. Particularly when missing the best player on the team to injury.

Bouchard was on the ice for 6 goals last night. Maybe someone should teach this kid how to play defense? We already have Nurse that thinks he’s a forward. Can we get someone to play some (frank)in D?

Fire Woody, Fire Holland put Kevin (I know a thing or 2 about winning) Lowe in charge again. MacT moves up from coffee/donut fetcher to HC again.

K-man you were very quiet so had no reason to comment, but now your back. The next couple games will determine if there are any changes with the team. Right now there are several players that should be sat down but there is no replacement for them unfortunately. Bouchard was an absolute disaster and should be watching next game but you cant take two of your key PP guys out with McDavid not playing. I would dress him and play him on the PP only and have Desharnie and Broberg as part of the 6 d-men. Send a message and I would have Holloway, Drai and Kane as top line. They earned that spot. Lots of the other players have to get their butts going to end up with any wins. But at least we don't have a controversy like down south.

There is no controversy in Edmonton? wow. Talk of Woody on the hot seat. Do they NEED to go find a G. Do they need to trade multiple assets to find a D. Haven't watched or listened to local news lately have you?
