In my opinion, the Flyers do not have the assets to make a realistic deal for Draisaitl. They also should not be trading for him.

Yeah. I don’t really see him as a fit and the cap hit is crazy. Further, would he be as effective without mcdavid? Not sure. |

He's a superstar player. He would be very effective without McDavid. I would be shocked if Edmonton trade Draisaitl.

I'd focus on continuing to build. I don't think the Flyers are one impact player away from taking a dramatic and long-lasting jump. Too many needs are still there. |

I think you meant Hart, not cal. They need a goalie.

Cal plays the position of goaltender. They can’t afford hart. |

If you were either team, would you make that trade? What is the impetus of Edmonton possibly being willing to trade Draisaitl?

would imagine they want Hart included. Maybe even ex selke.
ex selke hart sanheim? Make the cap work with fill ins I suppose.
Like Bill said makes zero sense for the flyers.
Funny thing is if you trade those 5 pieces you said individually flyers could make out pretty good I bet |

The flyers do not have the assets to trade for LD, nor do they have the coach that would utilize him correctly |

Farabee is having a strong season. However, the resident hockey prognosticator does not see it with Farabee. - MJL
Farabee also has zero PPP. Weird how he can pile up points at 5on5 but does nothing in Rocky's very well designed powerplay schemes. |

Yea need the goalie. My thought is they need to add players and you give them the picks to go out and make more deals. You can’t solve their problems with one trade so you give them capital to try. |

Draisaitl has a ten team trade list. I doubt the Flyers would be on it anyway. |

Both 2024 firsts? I keep those unless you get a stud dman prospect on the cusp of the nhl. We’re going to need both of those picks to rebuild the d corps imo |

They need two things, right? Goaltending and they need to improve their defense. They're trading an elite player in the NHL. A top 10 player, if not top 5. A 3 time 50 goal scorer and a 4 time 100+ point player. In your hypothetical, a goalie is not included and the defenseman included is at best, on a top team, a #3 defenseman to this point in his career. Why would Edmonton make that deal? If they're trading for a defenseman, don't they want a top NHL defenseman in return for an elite player? Why do fans routinely think that quantity can fetch you quality?
