To me zibs problem is his shot. It’s just off. Otherwise I think he looks fine. Skating, chances, defense, etc. it’s like he’s drunk when he’s ready to shoot it.

Kakko just sucks. Wether he gets better or not I have no idea

Laf looks like an all star

Zib looks like a tired new dad.

Kakko plays perimeter hockey and doesn’t have any fire to shoot or go to the net

Definitely could be the case with zib. I’m not worried about him tho, he’ll turn it around

Thing that worries me about Kakko is the eye test tells me he’s never looked this bad, or unnoticeable. I mean he barely even gets a shot on net anymore. Extremely high on his worry meter

Congrats to Hank. Well deserved. It’s unfortunate his teams weren’t as potent offensively as the ones recently.

The year they lost to ottawa was it. Pittsburgh was beatable, as was Nashville. The Kings were just too good that year

So many frustrating ends to those seasons grrr

Edit: just remembered that game 7 in pittsburgh. I forget the year, but that may have been his best game ever. Pens seemed to get like 15 SOG the last 3 minutes of the game

Via the NY Post:

"The numbers tend to fade into the background. Not, however, No. 30. Lundqvist and the Blueshirts went an impossible 15-4 in elimination games from 2012 through 2015 while the netminder recorded a 1.74 goals against average and .953 save percentage in those contests. He was 6-2 in Games 7 with a .961 save percentage and 1.11 GAA."

You know how improbable it is not win championship while that type of performance from a premier position?

Couldn’t score enough man that TB game 7 at MSG was the epitome of those teams. I think was a 2-1 game …Kreider may have scored in the 3rd period 🤔or it could’ve been 2-0

Because I hate myself, the Rangers hate me and I hate the Rangers. (Trying not to hate them this year.)

Because after Game 6, we all kind of figured the series was theirs. They were Jeckyl and Hyde home and away that series. Missed Zucc, D was injured, the first goal on Game 7 ticked off a stick and changed direction. I still fail over Bunny Laroque getting hurt in warm ups before Game 2 of the 79 Stanley Cup Finals

when i walked into the building that game 7 vs. tampa i looked at buddy and said they're loosing. the second we sat down the vibe was completely off. the building was dead, we sit and start to yell and what not the two guys in front of us asked us to quiet down we didnt but that was the whole vibe in there that day.

when mac didnt come out to start the game that was kind of it.

Those teams had a knack for the OT winner for the most part so that was fun. Off the top of my head starting with Gaborik 3 OT winner at like 1am lol.

Staal / Stepan vs the caps, Hagelin / Hayes vs the pens, Zib vs the Habs to name a few. Probably a couple more in there
