Just watched Oilers lose to Lightening despite outshooting them 2:1.

This is not a good look for NHL or fans who love elite hockey.

Is there an easy, obvious fix?

The despair in dressing room must be taking a wicked toll.

I don't now what would work as a fix.

But, management needs to step up and do something.

It is not about coaching.

Meet the new coach, same as the old coach. That game was the identical script as it was under Woodcroft. The problem was never coaching and always goaltending. Until EDM gets NHL caliber goaltending, no coaching and skater changes will matter. Can't outscore the goaltending they are getting.

Mediocre means average or slightly below. EDM is getting the worst goaltending in the league. That's a lot worse than mediocre. 2022 Avs won a SC with mediocre goaltending. CAR and LAK are competitive this year with mediocre goaltending. Name the team that is competitive with worst in league goaltending.

Most fans don't watch any of other teams. Lost a bet in 2016 with conditions that I couldn't go back to PIT forum. And I never have since.

Mrazek is playing very well in Chicago behind some young D who are trying to figure things out and some old D who will never figure things out. Not sure about the cap numbers but Foegele and a 1st or A level prospect(if Edmonton has any) could get the conversation started.

Which goalie off o the Habs would you guys prefer? Monty, Allen or Premeau......if any were made available.

No, I genuinely lost a bet and have honored it to one of the posters that was on there. I couldn't even tell you which poster it was or if he's even there anymore. I'm sure some of their long time posters would remember me. The bet was about PIT not winning a single round when Malkin got injured in 2016 and of course they won the SC. So I never returned as the condition of the bet.
