Karine Hains: In Hainsight: Montreal Steels One from the Ducks The Canadiens had a great first period, but for the rest of the game they were bailed out by Samuel Montembeault and they probably left Anaheim with the police in tow after stealing the two points from the Ducks.

Monty played a solid game, made big saves when he had to.

After watching Oilers/Canes…….wouldn’t be surprised if oilers were on the phone with the Habs this morning.

One down, three to go on this trip,

Happy thanksgiving Americanos,

Honestly, I don’t see the Habs trading Monty away…

…and please save us from the « Even Gretzky was traded… »

Allen, not sure it is an improvement from what the Oilers already have and Primeau is too much of a gamble to have the Oilers parting from quality pieces…

Not one of the 3 goalies is a clear cut #1.

They are all tradeable.

wtf?!?
Monty ranks 16th in the league both for Sv% and GAA (min 8 games played), while playing behind one of the worse defense. if he is not a clear cut #1 I don't know who is.
true that they are all tradeable though, pas rapport

One day, they will have to choose…

Because Habs are in construction mode, I would keep Monty and Primeau…. If they can’t find a home for Allen, I will just send him on the waivers…. It worked for Armia….

100% 👍

Maybe he will not win the Vézina but he can do the job of #1 with a decent backup…

2/3 of the games to Monty et 1/3 to Primeau…

But Monty definitely had to stay or if he is traded, they better get a « confirmed » #1 back…

And no, it is not Campbell… Or if it is, they better take another anchor back in that trade…

Gallagher ? Armia?

The next #1 is in the minors.

It take 3-5 years to develop a goalie with some exceptions like Roy, Brodeur, Vaseline-evski, Price, etc…

Hopefully, there is one, but nothing is guaranteed…. Many failures with the goalies…

it's because of the sample. I know you're convinced he's a #1 but 8 or 9 games don't make a goalie.

I say this and at this point I wouldn't trade him btw, just that I find your conclusion is unreasonable.
