Even tho they played bad they still had a change to win this game down 1 in the 3rd. A small silver lining. Biggest issue was lack of focus and couldn’t execute. Some good changes but they couldn’t score. Need a big rebound against Detroit

Yeah, I agree with this. Didn't seem like their night from the opening draw. But even so, it was a one goal game until about 5 minutes left. They were in it the entire time, and if they could execute that game probably goes to OT and we steal at least a point. Is what it is. Learn from some of the mistakes and move on. Gotta feel for Igor yesterday. Seemed to be the only one that was laser focused

Hopefully Kakko's injury isnt anything too serious. I assume Brodzinksi will ge the call up. If it is serious though....do you think that was the last time we see Kakko in a NYR jersey?

3) While I am typically on team Don't Rush the Prospect, something feels a little different with Othmann. Maybe, for once, NY can actually have a little of that player-that-excels-at-every-level experience? It just seems like each time he's promoted, he just keeps playing his game and it works.

Apparently he’s playing LW, Othmann. I thought they were going to try him on RW so that kind of makes his call up less likely. Our third line is gonna be Cuylle bonino and Vesey I think (til further notice)

So from my understanding if they put Kakko on LTIR it will Create cap space today but won’t allow them to accrue any cap space for the deadline which could mess up any deadline deal they want to do. Not the best situation. Why sending down Mackey, calling up Johnny b may be the best short term answer. Will allow Vesey to play 3rd line
