And yeah, I don't believe he'll go to the Blue Jays. He will go to anyone, but not to them. Just thinking about it makes it funny that anyone would suggest this.

The Jays are the best because not only do the leafs make the US teams hate us but big market teams fans just hate Canada too. Would be glorious to see the implosion on twitter.

Also LA is an absolute dump, Toronto in the summer months is a top tier city.

I do not get the obsession with Schneider. He's large and he hits people. He is out of position, slower and still struggles with decisions. He adds borderline value by most value-add metrics. He's good at the things he does but he struggles at overall defense. He is just 22 so he could absolutely bloom into a superstar but so far he's more Luke Schenn than Chris Pronger. Schneider, for the record, is looking better this year - but he's still -3 at 5v5 on a team that's 16-4-1 (albeit this is largely from the success of their special teams).

Guhle has been pretty good this year. I'd like to crap all over him, but he has arguably been Montreal's most valuable player to date.

If youre rich, LA is a place to be.
Toronto and Ontario have fallen by wayside thanks to the provincial and lack of local government (lets see what chow can do).
But someone making 35 - 50million a year would live a great life in the LA area.

Hrm. That was a tough draft. The guys I remember liking from it were Askarov, Perfetti, Quinn - specifically not Byfield . . . I think in and around our position I liked Zary, Mercer and Wallinder more than Schneider Guhle but a lot of people really coveted both for their size and physical play. Given who was on the board I think either one of those would have helped more than what our current young defenders were bringing (including Sandin).
