Possibly, but 3rd and 4th lines appeared to be meh. Overshadowed by Marner and Matthews play.

It appears tanev is often injured, I think hes only ever played 1 full 82 game season in his career (could be wrong), leafs should move on from him for now.

Willy skating through 3 Rangers to gain the zone and dishing to Matthews where he can't miss was pretty good. Although it was also some pretty poor defending from the Rangers players.

If he was a UFA, I'd rather we spent that on him vs. Klingberg, but yeah, he's a warrior and unfortunately those guys get hurt often.

I'm also really liking Lagesson and to a lesser extent, Benoit. They seem to be physical enough, responsible, can make a first pass. And Timmins is a cheaper Klingberg Lite anyways... once Gio and Lilly return, do we even need help at D?

He scores in bunches.
He did go through two 4 game stretches where he didnt score any goals....and had 1 assist in one of those stretches.
And two 3 game stretches with no goals
So overall this season, its understandable if that was said but hes had 7 goals in the past 5 games. No one should be saying that now.
