I don’t think the “stay at home” is particularly relevant. Big, physical and defends well is what matters. Not handling the puck like a grenade would be a bonus.

Same old 108 pt season Leafs is good ...until the grind of the playoffs.

Looking at the leafs they actually have some D that are really good defenders.

Lilejregren, Brodie, Benoit, McCabe. The issue is Brodie has lost any remaining ability to move the puck, Benoit is a pure defensive guy, McCabe seems to have gotten better offensively but still he is just holding his head above water there.

Leafs don’t have enough puck movers, I’m not sure if getting another “defensive D man” is a good idea unless he can move the puck WELL not just okay.

Or…. And check this out ask their high priced forwards to perhaps come back a little deeper and help the D in this regard of making better breakout passes along with sharper and crisper exits…

I have no problem telling you the flyers are playing above their means and are probably watching the playoffs
