Um, wow, this team continues to surprise.

Great to see Laughton get a goal. Guy has had an uneven season and this, and being promoted to 1C (IMHO it should have been Frost), will get him going.

Frost was 1C tonight, although Laughton was on PP1 (despite Frost having 3 PP points during the five-game PP streak, which would have been 6 after tonight if Foerster hit the net from prime range).

Laughton was 1C on Saturday in Winnipeg, 2C tonight.

Finally having a season when I’m looking forward to the game coming on. Past few seasons were miserable. Watched more of the Flyers than the Eagles last night.

Switched to Flyers 100% when the second period started. Even without Couturier and Drysdale the Flyers carried the play.

Torts has a real tough decision on who to sit from the D-men when Drysdale comes back. All of the d-men are performing at or above expectations. My hunch is he sticks with the 11/7 format. Brink will probably the odd man out in my opinion.

Going to the Sens game on Sunday. I am actually excited to go.

Ever notice when the Flyers are winning games there is a certain element missing from this forum?

Its funny, one could argue there is less talent than a couple of years ago, but we are performing better. Compete every night, locker room in a better place also. Addition by subtraction

Frost showed last night what he can do if placed in the right situations. He was all over the puck and made numerous strong plays. Offensively and defensively.

I thought he looked really good.

Give him an extended look on the top line, even when coots gets back.

Flyers with 2 days off, then 3 in 4, meanwhile the Pens have played 2 less games and have 1 game for the rest of the week. I know it averages out but geez. I am not saying what it better, I think players like to play, but it appears the Flyers are very busy.

morning cliff, did you get a good nights sleep?

frost needs to do it consistently not in spurts. Would you agree?

yes agree. It was one game. He continues to do that he should be the 2c when coots returns. He's gotten a couple points recently, but he needs to keep it up. Last year at this time he got comfortable and started producing at a better pace. time will tell if he can continue like this.

Does he need to play with top line talent to play like he did last night? Do you think he would have done as well if he was on the second line?

Not being an ass to you like I normally am, seriously asking.

Rather have played more games now than down the stretch after all star break when it is mostly division opponents

I fell asleep at 2-2. That winning goal by Tippett was insane. Wild backhander. He's really upped his game of late. We also did this without out top C and D man.. wild.

This team continues to surprise me. Epic road trip. TBH, if they keep this up, they just might make the playoffs. Regardless, stay the course, don't acquire anyone new and trade if the right deal comes along at the TDL.

Sadly, they've fallen far the last year.
