13 playoff points in his 15 year career.

Precisely the luck the leafs need.

Former #442 pick, Elmer Forthrightington is excelling in his role of centerman for the New Buttsford Mortarmen. In only 11 games, he has put up 24 points, all secondary assists, and has recorded no less than three shots on goal, but no more than four.

Elmo, as high linemates call him, was thrust into the 1C role when the teams captain and star centerman Austin Milbarge was injured on a dirty play by Emmett Fitzhume of the rival Klondike Thicknecks. Elmo has responded to the call and has earned the trust of the coaches, garnering a stunning 52 minutes of icetime per game.

He is obviously the next in line to make the move to the Marlies and eventually into the NHL. It's a staggering accomplishment for a man who is blind and missing four chromosomes.

“Mayers looking for a ticket out of town” and apparently this was the best image The Star could come up with:

Thicknecks is a good team name. A lot better than Lightning or Maple Leafs.

lol the media coverage alone for that guy in a leafs uniform would be worth it

Any word on him? He’s been off due to concussion issues recently no?

Remember last year when the stripes put away the whistles and let other teams attempt to kill Bunting for about 6 weeks? Cousins in a Leaf uniform would be that experience prolonged and on steroids.

I mean . . .about 9 years we adopted two cats from a rescue shelter and one of them unfortunately turned out to have FIV. We spent over $4k trying to keep him healthy while he did all sorts of horrible things to the floor regularly - before he died after about 3 months. We never knew him but the entire experience with him was terrible. In the end I was, I guess, a little sad that he died - but honestly, more relieved.

That is what I think it would be like to have Nick Cousins.

I can remember quite a bit of it. To the city of Montreal the finals were just a formality, they kept reporting on Expo 67 and where they were going to display the cup.

I’m sorry to hear about your cat but I can understand the logic you’re using.

When it comes to Cousins I can admit I don’t even feel bad about him suffering through a head injury and I’m a bloody epileptic who has had part of my brain removed… you’d think that would make me care about him, but it doesn’t.
