Thought Walker was really good last night. It’s time for Danny to force this 11/7 to end with a trade. I like Walker as a player but there is no reason to commit to him past this season, we have a number of young D that need ice time and are stuck with Risto. |

I made note of that as well. The guy seems to always make the right play even under pressure. Uses his body and positions himself well and then boom, we’re clearing the zone and off to the o zone. |

Farabee is continuing to cement himself as a top line NHL winger. He's had a strong season overall since finally getting healthy. |

RP with over 18 minutes is a disgrace. Don't fall in love with players the coach/Co-GM has said. Team struggles to score. Calling up Ollie also a farce, why even bother?

Looks as thought that fusion surgery that Eichel and he received is working out well despite what the Buffalo doctors objected to that elicited that Eichel trade to Vegas.. |

Because once you accept a culture of tanking and losing, it is extremely difficult to shake it. This is why the Flyers approach of maximum effort to win every single game is so important to building the right culture for players to come into. I know some on this forum don't understand it, but culture, or standard, or whatever you want to call it is so important! |

buffalo is on the shape they are in mainly because of inept owner/management.
losing is easy to shake. start winning. The max effort approach is funny. player should always be giving max effort and want to win every game. You can still "tank" and accomplish that.
the flyers culture is clearly a losing one. |

Actually it's you that doesn't understand it and has been indoctrinated and brainwashed into you thinking it's about culture and a standard. The Flyers have been spewing the nonsense of a "standard" and other buzzwords forever without actually winning anything. You're their target and how they're marketing to snag you. I despise tanking personally but tanking has resulted in far more championships than the nonsense that you buy into.
Maybe one day you'll actually understand what built the "cultures" in Chicago, Pittsburgh and LA for example. |

Actually he got disc replacement surgery. The team wanted him to have fusion surgery.

I followed this pretty closely. Fusion surgery limits motion and requires follow up surgeries later in life. It ruined Don Mattingly's career back in the 90's so it got my attention when it was happening to Eichel and then Farabee.
Now that Eichel, Farabee and Tyler Johnson have all had it, its pretty clear that it is the way to go. Cuts the recovery time in half and leaves the flexibility in place that a fusion of discs would hamper.
Its not new though, and frankly, the Sabres were nuts trying to prevent him from going that route.

This is the exact reason I refused to have disc fusion done on my back - as a last-gasp attempt to save me from pain a doctor prescribed Cymbalta -- wish they would have started with that instead of nerve ablations and steroid shots |

Phantom points for players. Mirage victories by the team. This organization has been doing a good job of making me see things that should be there but aren’t…? |
