Thanks Trevor. The Ranger trade is underwhelming to say the least.Holts is a great player, brt Hanifin should be bringing a young,up and coming center back. Anything else would be a disappointment.

Would Chaz Lucious and Logan Stanley be enough for Hanifin? |

Hanifin would be a rental, unless you win the cup.
I think that is an interesting proposal might have to add a 2nd in there. |

He disappeared. I like not having a blogger. It’s been good luck so far this season. |

That would be win-win for both teams, especially if Hanifin signs here afterwards. |

Hey Trevor! Holtz for Hanifin straight up would be light in my eyes. Hanifin is at least or more valuable as Lindholm. I would expect a Lindholm type of package before settling on that 1 for 1. I would like at least Holtz, 2024 1st (lottery top 10 protected of course) & possibly a B prospect. I would think we could eat part of that cap hit for Jersey. I think Tampa may become a player for Hanifin given the severity of the Sergachev injury & that gives them an extra $8.5 mill to put on LTIR.
As for Kakko, yes Kakko & maybe Otthman & perhaps a 3rd would be what I would be looking for. |

Two actually not one sided deals. Weird. |

Holtz and Kakko are both young and still have updise but i think both players have less value today than they have had in the past. I think we do much better than those trades straight up if we move Hani.
Hanifin is a horse and I think he is a top 20 Dman in the league now.
I would be asking for a 1st and a teams top prospect. |

Keep hani at 7.5 for 8 you don’t find those guys !! Or 1st not protected top prospect and a roster player plus a 3rd |

These massive packages for any rental aren't happening. Need Hanifin to sign and trade to maximize return. Lindholm return was good for a rental. That would be a likely comparable without Hanafin signing an extension. |

If I'm Fitzgerald, I'm not doing anything crazy like shipping off Holtz to try and save this season. Their core is still super young, and Hamilton isn't coming back this year. They're farther out of the playoffs than the Flames are. Prices are too high right now. Fix the team in the offseason and bring in Hanifin then if they really want him. A top-15 pick that they hit on will be hugely beneficial if they do become a top team in a couple of years. |

They want to keep him. Can't force him to sign though.

He's had a contract in front of him waiting to be signed for weeks now. The most we can hope for is he's undecided. |

So happy for Rooney. |

Even if Hanafin does not want to be here I am happy as poop he is busting his ass every night.
Yes he is playing for a paycheck but by doing so he is also getting a better return for the Flames, which means a better return for the fans.
Shows he is a true professional. |

I think he is showing he wants to stay but maybe I’m a blind fan but the return will be sweet and as long as he is honest with the flames I’m happy either way, have to respect the honesty in his decision |

Cause the flames stopped contract talks after the poor start, why hasn’t he come out and asked for a trade ? |
