North/south hockey today! None of this East/West fancy passing at the blueline Bullshyt. The Rangers need to play well defensively and support one another along the end boards. Thats when they are at their best. Defense leads to offense. Last thing we want to see today is undisciplined/forcing plays that aren’t there, and the inability to get in on the forecheck from all 4 lines. I expect Lindgren to play well and keep the Caps in the game but what I don’t want to expect is Miller forcing a pass through the neutral zone when the easy pass is along the boards off the forwards stick and getting the puck deep.

Washington can’t match our skill but we must stay away from self inflicted mistakes. Game 1 on home ice so emotions will be high. Need to have a strong smart start to the game.

Agreed, it has to be a team toughness mentality. We’re putting a lot on Rempe having to deal with Wilson and now also McIlrath. Those are 2 big boys for a 21 year old kid to have to worry about.

I'm exhausted from laughing at the Leafs.
Even Sportsnet got in on the fun. Heading to commercial in the 3rd period they were playing "Same Old Song and Dance" by Aerosmith!

I am fully expecting a Willis Reed moment with Chytil today. He may just come out for warm ups but the crowd will go crazy.
