Hmm strange:
What about those 17 games Boeser and the Canucks played during the fan-less pandemic bubble playoffs in Edmonton in the summer of 2020?
“It was so different, way different, you can't even compare,” Boeser said. “There's no comparison. Like, in the bubble, I felt like we were just playing hockey. You didn't feel fans, momentum. It felt like summer hockey almost. It was so weird, I can't really explain that. It's definitely not the same."

Thanks NYN another game to enjoy at a decent time for us.
Makes sense the emotional side of things were missing in the bubble. It was just you and the hockey with your teammates. Maybe why Petey has struggled with this playoff reality and trying to do too much or overthink. That might cost him the split second flow to generate offense. He was already trying to handle the emotions of being the big contract guy. It take time and a new level of maturity to deal with that.
Where as Boeser and JTM are feeding off the fans and some like Zadarov are rising to new heights.
Maybe in game 4 we’ll get a charged, focused and flowing Canuck play. Though it is an afternoon affair it’s the playoffs so they should be ready to bring it. |

My hypothesis: he's injured and it will require surgery. The team wasn't in a good spot for him to miss 2-3 months to come back to the playoffs healed up, so he's been playing hurt down the stretch. Once the season is over he'll have the surgery and heal up over summer. |

Don’t think it’s physical it’s mental. Look at his mechanics of PP shot on open net he missed in game 2. Then his reaction after.
His ailment isn’t from a physical injury. We have seen this before with Petey needing to adjust to how to get out of his head and just know without thinking what and when to do it. That’s when he’s most dangerous offensively. |

Petey probably has both issues, a physical ailment that's hampering him and the mental issue around it that's making it hard for him to perform close to his standards. I wouldn't be surprised if/when they get eliminated that it comes out that he was dealing with a wrist injury and/or a back injury that would explain why he's not too stable on his skates and gets knocked off them easy. |

Ya I'm thinking back/shoulder. He's still taking draws, and if I'm judging off Lindholm's injuries he wasn't so good in the dot with that. He's not doing his dekes and isn't as shifty, plus not wailing his shot as normal, so that's why I think back or shoulder
And clearly that's impacting his mental game, he's really hard on himself, but he's trying to contribute as he can on the PK and defensive side of things |

Thanks Yorkie. I wonder if they make any lineup changes. Mik was better but still no finish. |

Game day...I love it. A 2PM Pacific Time start, gonna be a great afternoon to get a 3-1 lead on these mustard yellow belly Preds. Worst uni's in sports, honestly.
With most of the young guys experiencing playoff hockey for the first time there was bound to be some nerves, but now, it's time to get down to business. |

I'm gonna make Reeses peanut butter cup cheese cake for the game today. Wish me luck. |

11.6 million reasons to love the early start!! Hopefully off the golf course in time for puck drop.
Nice to see certain players here drawing from the PO experiences from 2020. Beating Minny then the cup champs STL and then Vegas to 7 games under Benning/Green was impressive indeed. Hoping we can get past that point this season and move on the WCF!!
Hughes is an absolute stud back there looking for another big game but the Preds will try lock down defense today. Gonna be a tough battle. Petey with a huge goal today!!!!

Tough one here. Focus should be on getting Pettersson going at this point. All 4 lines looked good last game. Roll them all hopefully Tocchet has a plan for today. |

This is why I think EP will be a 70 pt guy next year. After they sign Hronek and Zadarov, Canucks will have about four dollars left to find a winger for Petey.
Take your pick Karlsson Bains or Podkolzin.

Maybe I will change my too Benning so for the next 8 years you will be reminded of who drafted him.

Apparently Hronek isn't close to signing, Zadorov will also be tough, same with Lindholm.
Something needs to give, get rid of Mikheyev and/or? Ideally I'd like to see all three above return, not likely though.

I think Mikheyev will be bought out. His cap punishment won't be too bad. It saves you three mil this year.
I haven't been impressed with Hronek enough to give him 7 mil but I know Canucks will.
Teams have got to do what Vegas and Leafs do and have a 97 and 92 mil roster.
