A bit of a stinker last night. When your key players, Miller Boeser, Pouty, Hughes, Hronek, Soucy and Myers, all have bad games, you are bound to lose.

Better having a stinker in game 6 than game 7, both teams should be ready to play for all the marbles. It'll come down to who wants it more. Execution isn't going to be a thing, greasy goals will.

I thought the Lindholm/Pettersson/Höglander actually played pretty well. Bleuger also had a decent game. I don’t think I heard Podkolzins name until the end of the game.
This game could easily have been 6-5 Canucks, Skinner looked awful early on. If you had shot the puck more they would have gone in.

I thought Pouty was back to playing the way he had been for the past 50 games or so. On the 1st goal against, he blew coverage in the neutral zone, before Hughes ended up puck-watching.
Pouty got out-muscled several times, unfortunately.

Holloway made Hughes into a statue. Norris trophy Hughes needs to show up next game. He’s too good not to have more than 0 goals this series. All the heat on Pettersson and he seems to get away scotch free.

Yep Tocchet has said it a few times now. Oilers are leading the PO's in scoring in almost every category and we are in game 7 of the second round and still waiting for Hughes Petey and a few others to show. Maybe not defensively but Bouchard is making Hughes look sad on the scoresheet and never would have thought that. Expecting a tighter game on Monday and a greasy probably controversial goal will decide it.

This fanbase adores Hughes, so he doesn't get the criticism that others receive. When it comes to both Hughes and Pouty, they both get bounced around fairly easily, if they engage in the tough areas.
Both of them need to step up their games, if the Canucks are to advance.

He has not had a good playoff IMO.
I also agree Hughes gets lesser criticism but has been involved in more scoring in the PO so far. Hronek got his first point last night and the teams low shot count every game is hard to understand.
They don't belong here but they are here. Great for them but the newest shots almost in playoff history and a 3rd string goalie playing lights out is not a recipe to win. I'm very thankful for the fun run and the experience the guys got. I hope they win of course but a great season no matter what. Have a great weekend everyone

I think there's a greater sense of urgency from EDM. You're not going to win too many games with 15 shots total.
