They are going to the finals due to special team alright, but it is more because of the PK than the PP. It has been absolutely insane all playoffs. - Beergu

You know that wouldn't make the Cup win illegitimate, right? - Only_A_Ladd
Yes. As a Canadian - I am well aware that winning the Cup because you have a good PP/PK still means you win the Cup. The league does not disqualify a team for relying on special teams to win because their actual roster is not good.
I am fully aware of that. It doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Especially when even their coach states: “we rely on our special teams to win a lot of games”

Oilers have also scored the most 5 on 5 goals in the playoffs. Weird that good teams seem to be good at special teams and at 5 on 5.

Yes, the Oilers are a top heavy roster, which is a really, really risky move that's hurt them in the past. That's why it makes this run more remarkable because everyone knows the Oilers' Achilles' heel and no one can consistently stop its PP. Florida might be that team. Who knows? But beating this drum that the team's success is questionable is silly. They're exploiting an advantage that no one else has. How does that deserve criticism? Because you don't like it?
The Oilers find ways to win games. Different guys step up on different nights. The Leafs find ways to lower their golf handicap. The Canucks find ways to pretend the rain isn't that bad.

You're really still going on about this ultimate insult of yours about how the Oilers are too good at a pivotal part of the game. Imagine having a complete lack of hockey knowledge that you somehow think this is a good insult, I can't imagine being this upset over the stupidest thing. Keep crying kid

So when Panthers "Bob'd" the Bruins last year it was not a team effort?

That McJesus goal last night was miraculous. Watch it again, slowly.
He dekes and dangles through a crowd of Dallas jerseys, then picks a spot and the red light is on.
You can't just blame Otter for that. He undressed the whole Dallas team on that play. Look back at the bench - all of the Dallas players are shirtless.
Our Lord McJesus is dialed in and his prophet is Hymen. Praise him.
Florida's only chance is to play dirty and attempt to injure McJesus.
Bennett is Judas. TkaUpchuk is Pilate. They will attempt to crucify our Lord.
Congratulations Oilers! What a game and a series! McDavid is unreal, a true leader for your team. Are they unstoppable? So far no team has been able to slow them down enough to win 4 games. Going to be another great series, Saturday is too far away.

I’m chirping the Oilers fans. I’m not trying to hurt peoples feelings with some massive personal insult bud - take it easy. Imagine thinking that my chirps have some kind of anger behind them and not just meant to be a Richard and chirp Oilers fans. Imagine taking the internet so seriously that you can’t comprehend that someone is just having a laugh and being a smartass.
Lack of hockey to state that I feel the Oilers are basically 2 Mega Stars & PP/PK?…they are. With a 3rd player that rotates (Human, RNH, etc). Imagine the coach saying the same I am: that they rely heavily on their PP/PK to win a lot of games for them.
Imagine continuously going into Canucks thread and chirping them then getting offended when someone else does the same to you/your team. Keep crying kiddo.

1. Completely different. Fla is a good team that was struggling and rely on tendy while sorting it out.
2. I actually have said multiple times there should be no apologies for having a team that is a great PP. I just pointed out that it’s the PP that carries the team (with 97/29).
3. I don’t think the oilers are a good “team”.

Oilers had the easiest road by far. Dallas was a good team but pretty beat down after playing Vegas and Colorado. Florida has also had the toughest road to the final. To me the only thing that can beat the Panthers are the refs. This will be Floridas easiest series.

So now it's not just the PP, it's our PP and PK that makes us successful?
