Why do the Teravainen percentages add to 90% instead of 100%. Maybe a 10% chance he leaves the NHL?
Has DeBrusk (capital B) ever stated he wanted to leave Boston? Always seemed like he was disappointed hearing his name in trade rumours and now disappointed that they haven't already extended him. Also surprised to see Toronto in on DeBrusk?? So they are discussing extensions for Bertuzzi and Domi, a 50/50 shot at signing Stamkos, and now also in on DeBrusk? I wonder if Marner AND Nylander are on the way out?

My sources are saying Pascal Vincent has been fired. Can your sources confirm that?

I don't believe DeBrusk ever publicly asked to be traded but he took the rather unusual measure of publicly stating that he rescinded a trade request a couple years ago so I guess that's sort of tacit public acknowledgement that he once ask to be traded. But, to your point, it also points out that he's now pretty happy in Boston.

Following an awkward season, DeBrusk pondered over his future. After discussing the situation with his family in Edmonton, DeBrusk decided to pull his trade request.
“I think the biggest thing last year was the support I got from this room,” DeBrusk said following Tuesday’s captains’ practice. “I felt like it was obviously a lot of stuff coming my way for obvious reasons, and the guys in this room kept it tight and kept it as one. That’s something I’ve always loved about this team
“I’ve always loved the boys and the city and everything else. This is what I’ve known, and this is what I’m comfortable with. It honestly wasn’t that hard of a decision to make. In saying that — and building off last season — it’s one of those things I talked about a little bit, and I was leaning that way, so yeah, that’s how it all happened.” |

Yes. Fair point. But that was back in 2021-22, and mostly the result of a coach who kept benching him. I would ask for a trade too. If you don't value me then let's both move on. But then he finally got a look in the top 6, finished the season with 25 points in 32 games, and officially rescinded the request. Cassidy left and the issue hasn't come up in the last 2 years. So to use the phrase "does he still want out" seems inaccurate to me.

Agreed - he not only rescinded his trade request he publicly admitted he did. I highly suspect Cassidy was at the root of it just as he seemingly was with Krejci. |

DeBrusk and Seattle?! Really?? Not the offensive top 6 forward tgey have said they are after. Better odds they would add Marchessault over DeBrusk. Expect the young players to get a long hatd look and far more opportunity with Bylsma in as coach. |

If you don't already, subscribe to Todd Cordell's blog on Substack. I think it's about $60 per year and Todd knows hockey, unlike some of the clowns here. Also, there isn't an ad popping up every 3.7 seconds, unlike here. |
