Looking at the Stanley Cup finals, there is something at play that nobody else may have noticed playing out. Edmonton is used to playing a lot of long distance hockey in the West. They travel throughout 3 time zones and many of their conference games are long haul. Florida, on the other hand, plays mostly in the eastern time zone and their travel is limited. Edmonton is used to this long haul stuff, Florida is not. Florida may be tiring, having to travel more than usual, while Edmonton just knows how to do it. If Edmonton beats Florida handily, in game 6, the seeds of doubt will be firmly entrenched in the psyche of the Panthers. Game 7 may be a classic in the making if it gets there.

Did they? Wash dumped their goalie for PLD. Either Wash thinks Kuemper is garbo and that says A LOT about PLD's value or they think their goalie is pretty good and now don't really have one.

Lindgren took over the starters role. They basically traded a pricey backup for a pricey underachiever. Washington doesn't have much right now up front. Decent gamble IMO

Washington have lost 2 big center from their team in Bäckström and Kuznetsov.
I think PLD will center a line with OV on it.
