6 picks in the first two rounds of the 2025 draft and no serious free agent signing is not proof they are in a rebuild? Trading Sean Walker at the deadline for a 1st round pick when the team with him would have made the playoffs, is not proof of a rebuild?

Now if you tell me the Flyers don't seem to be completely committed to a rebuild given they have not moved out more players, I agree with you. That is why to me I am judging Briere on what he does the rest of this off season and at the deadline. If he does not do whatever he can to assure that this team is picking in the top 10, perferably in the top 5, I will have lost faith in him and will no longer support his plan. Torts can still coach to win every game and the players should be exepcted to play as hard as they can, but in the end the Flyers will not win many games because they simply will not have the horses, because Briere will trade as many veteran horses as he can. That is how it has to be IMO.

First sentence, second paragraph… so as it stands today you agree this is not a rebuild?

I went on Saturday but it was too crowded for me to see much of the scrimmage.
I went with my 9 year old grandson and I have to say all of the attendees including Torts, Briere, Patrick Sharp, were extremely nice and willing to sign autographs for my grandson after the session.

Did anyone stand out to you?

Believe it or not, Sulku. In almost every drill he was noticeable. Barkey also has a ton of skill but I also noticed he is pretty small. I noticed Ciernik is very fast.

But drill after drill my eyes were drawn to Sulku, and not just because he is huge. I thought he could really move and showed a hard shot.

San Jose hasn't offered Celebrini and Smith as far as I know, so no, not yet.

Briere knows his value.

Re-signing Hathaway and failure to move TK or Laughton so Brink can be squeezed out of the lineup by the almighty Torts.

Rebuild? Yeah right. New era of orange my ass.

The Flyers lineup is so good, they just don't have room for every talented young player.

Barley was quick and had good puck skills on a few shifts. Matto Mann is a mountain of a defenseman and didn’t look out of place with his skating.

Briere did not listen to Mr Miyagi.

He’s not committed to a singular plan.

Brink is no longer waiver eligible I do not think so will be interesting to see what transpires.

Torts will just park him in the press box so he can either dress 7D or get Nic D his oh so valuable 5 minutes of ice time

All these youngerish players need to get NHL time to figure out if any fit going forward.

They have so many of the same type players yet it will be a Brink type that will end up sitting. Not that there is a ton of quality, there is a lot of bodies.

Anxious to see what MJL would say about this. He said they don't have to trade anyone.

My guess, send ND to AHL and sit Hathay.

That would leave Laughton, RP and Cates on the 4th line.

Brink stinks. Small and slow. Has a double chin. They overpaid on his deal. Nearly twice the vet minimum for a player no one can figure out where he fits in.

Don't know, just try to think of what MJL would have said.

Brink would have to play on the 4th line and laughton would be 3rd C

But Bundy and asf and Charlie all said trading walker is a clear sign of rebuild. Even laughing at those that would disagree and shrug them off
