I like the D additions but special teams were the killer in playoffs, not sure if the simple addition of tanev and OEL change that

That's where the coaching changing comes in, I hope.

We should get Wayne Gretzky to come run our power play

I gave them a B.. There were better additions to be had but no money to go and get them.. I read somewhere that they were trying with Roy but the money couldn't work.

Also people on this board seem to think that everyone wants to come to Toronto.

Still need to makes some trades.. Need a 3C that is solid in both ends.. and would like to see a reworked 4th line that has maybe 50 goals in them as a line

The coaching change hopefully makes a big difference for everything.

The D additions could be great if they are ALL healthy and don't miss too many games. That should help the PK. Tanev/OEL/Hakanpaa/Benny/McCabe and no BRODIE.

If Woll can stay healthy and Stolarz can be any kind of consistent... or even steal the net...that helps the PK too.

The Core 4 still (frank)s up PP2 since the rest of the team is filled with mostly scraps. If there are no changes to the Core 4 or any other additions to the F group, I would spilt them up.

PP1
Matthews, Marner, Domi, Holmberg or Cowan if he sticks, best slapshot D man

PP2
Tavares, Nylander, Knies, McMann or Minten if he sticks, 2nd best slapshot D man or Rielly

Something like that?

So, what happens with it now? (Voided food pallet)

Well, obviously the base manager picks through it and takes what he wants..

The rest is a free-for-all. May the strongest win.

Hell I gave it an A. Nothing more notable will happen without moving Matthews, Nylander, Marner, JT, or Rielly. All of whom have solid NMCs.

You'd like a 4th line where each member roughly averages over 16 goals? I'd be curious to know if there was a single such 4th line in the NHL last year

I’d say 50P for the 4th line is fair… not goals tho

Leafs should sign McJesus.

Who cares if he's already under contract with another team. The Leafs could've done it, too, if they didn't sign Liljegren to that contract.

Did you miss the last year part of his comment? lol

3 4th lines who pulled it off in the last 40ish years… not really a standard thing lol

😆👍

No worries!! You were 100% correct… I’ll give you that… if Tre could hammer out a 4th line anywhere near as good as the 3 you mentioned I’d be a happy guy lol

It’s even worse.

We need two 24 goal scorers to play with Reaves.

Unless you go by points… then each of his linemates would only need to fork out 20 each if Reaves gets 82 games in

Too bad teams don't have "regions" for acquiring young players anymore.

Tree should have channeled his inner Briesbois and ran Tavares out of town on a rail.

Tell him to accept a trade. If he resists, you strip him of the "C", demote him to the 4th line, and make his wife share a bed with Whorey Fairy. He relents, gets traded in a cap-dump to San Jose, and his wife has a new baby that looks suspiciously like The Worm.

I'd give them a B, maybe a B+ if Hakanpaa is actually healthy and in.

IF Minten can stick, I might drop JT to line 3. Puts Kampf down to line 4.

Still think Tre isnt done and we will see a trade or two which might change the roster look here begore camp opens.
