Just an FYI...when you attain the top 1% of the top 1% in any pursuit...you typically get rich. Not just sports. Same thing in music. Movies. Lawyers. Bankers. That's called a free market. Supply. Demand. If you don't like it, stop consuming it. Go watch high school hockey and support your local community theater.

You’re looking for altruism in all the wrong places. Stockbrokers, salesmen, politicians, owners and hockey players want to get paid and tend to lean toward selfishness.

Maybe some devoted nurses are selfless. Become a Buddhist monk and you may find it there. But you may find that some can be parasitic. It sucks to live in a corrupt world. But you can become the change agent.

What is all the fuss about this guy??? He's 25 years old, and in 7 seasons his career high is 28 goals and 71 points on a team with a ton of offensive talent. Decent numbers, but not staggering numbers. I've watched him play. He's very good, but not great. I don't see him ever breaking out to be a 40 goal, 90 point guy. I just don't see that potential. But apparently I'm the only one. If anyone pays this guy over 6.5 million for 3 or 4 years they are a sucker.

As far as player pts go, it is a product of how the team plays versus individual talent.
