Bill,

I’ve read two different sites in Plymouth. One site has Bonk on the Canadian roster and the other does not. With Bonk’s birthday being in January and him not being 20 until that point, will he be going back to London should he not grab a roster spot? When can he come to the AHL?

Frost or Farabee! Both will start the season in the Torts dog house. Just to set the tone for the whole season.

Actually, with the addition of MM, it looks like Brink is most likely the odd man out and it would be a surprise for him to make it. After all, we do need ND on the roster to protect MM since he's now MM's best friend.

I think there will be a move or two.

I am not convinced Laughton is here to start the season. Also could see them move Farabee.

I would be stunned if Laughton is traded before the start of this season.

Me to. He is more important to the Flyers culture than McDavid is to the Oilers.

Flyers must really think MM is a superstar, that he was 1-2 with Beddard and only the Russian thing caused less hype on MM. I mean I can see if Drysdale is the real deal and healthy, and the Flyers have other quality pieces but thinking MM is the savior is a real stretch.

In the MM press conference DB was pretty adamant that they don't expect MM to be the savior. Their focus is just on him learning, from Torts, how to play the right way.

Why would Brink be the odd man out? When RYJO goes to IR they will have 13 forwards. ND sits while Brink plays

There are Supreme Court justices with less job security than Scott Laughton.

Why would MM’s new best friend sit on the bench?

Guy dressed in 60-games last season without a rookie phenom to protect... and people seriously think he's gonna be eating more popcorn this year w/ Michkov trying to pull Michigans?

the 3 stooges really and actually think ND will be a deterrent. That is their mindset. Let that sink in.

This is a contract year for Frost. His first potential serious cut of the cake. The slice that will define the rest of his life financially.

I think he does better. Might be a nice break out. What I fear is that he plays well enough to get a 6.5ish/year kinda long term deal, and then never lives up to it. Just another burden on the cap hit. It would be such a Flyers thing to do.

I like Frost, but that scenario scares me.

Let me echo some of the brain surgeons on here. How do you know that? Have you sat in on the meetings? Did you know what Tortorella is thinking?

Canada's non-game group is basically a list of Flyers top prospects!

He was so bad after the New Year that Torts could barely put him on the ice in the second half. 144 minutes in 21 appearances in the last 41 games.

For a historical comparison, we can go back to Jody Shelley, who only had 104 minutes in 16 appearances during the second half of his second season in Philly. Quite the tradition of overpaying face punchers in these parts.

And here's Hathaway getting blown up by Trouba even though Nic is on the ice and is supposedly a deterrent.

Unless the other team has a facepuncher of their own that the team wants to put out there, what good is he on the ice? No skill guy is afraid of him. First he has to catch them and then somehow not give the other team a PP if he does.

Jody Shelley. He scored 2 goals the year before, both against the Flyers so Holmgren needed to acquire the Flyer killer. He didn't score 6 points total in his 3 years with the Flyers.

They also stated that they are rebuilding. Their actions say otherwise
