Two scoring chances. Zero points. The kid oozes Flyer’s Hockey.

Meh, I wish they picked Buium just as much as the next fan, but Jett is probably the youngest player at the tournament and at the very least the youngest player on the team.

Ill cut him a break for now.

edited to add: There are three players younger on team Canada...but none of them were draft eligible.

Just joking around. More a criticism of what the Flyers value than a criticism of Jett. Obviously he’s a very good hockey player.

I get it. Im actually encouraged a bit that he was included in the summer roster. Though I doubt he makes the WJC team. It will probably be like Barkey last season. Barkey should most certainly be on the squad this January.

Like the fact that even though he is on the fourth line he was able to generate scoring chances.

Yeah, I hope people don’t give Jett a hard time just because they wanted Buium. I’m among those who wanted the defenseman, but I can’t blame the kid for that. The Flyers went a different direction, and now I just have to wish the guy the best and hope he becomes a solid NHLer.

It’s not fair to blame the draft choice because the team went off board to select him.

Same deal with York because a lot of us screaming for Caufield. Again, I was one of the fans who wanted the other guy, but Cam is turning into a nice, young blue-liner and I’m glad he’s a Flyer.

They just get funnier and dumber every election!

Just talked to Keith Jones, Patrick Sharp and John LeClair. Very friendly guys. All smiles. Wanted to know what name I was wearing on the back of my sweater.

Yet, besides giving the Flyers plenty of toughness and grit, Hathaway has also been a good leader for the Metropolitan Division club's youngsters. With the Flyers rebuilding, they need veterans in these roles as mentors. Thus, prioritizing a Hathaway extension was an intelligent move on Briere's end.

Hathaway should continue to be a crucial part of the Flyers' bottom six and leadership from here on out. He is the kind of hard-nosed energy player that every club would love to have on their roster, and the Flyers are quite fortunate to have him locked up for the next three years at a reasonable cap hit because of that.

Nothing against Hathaway but the press really buys into the philly tough and vet leadership mentality. Priority should be assets at the TDL. What can Hathaway show the kids in years 3-4 that he didnt' show them in years 1-2?

Briere could sign a rock to play on the 4th line with a NMC and the press would tell you what a great rock it is and how fortunate the Flyers are to have that rock to show the youngsters how to be tough and steady.

Jett is pretty fast. More willing to get back to defend than Cutter was at center last year.

Jett created a partial breakaway for himself coming off the right wing

Denver Barkey seems to have it all though. So far just looks like the better, more experienced player, even as a small guy.

2-0 USA one minute left in the first

Some of the scouting reports I read said the kid is a one man zone entry machine due to his speed.

keep the news coming.

He’s fast. Both Barkey and Jett back quick. Barkey really good with the puck even with a man on him.

Barkey and Jett starting the PP together. Barley in the bumper and Jett in the crease.

Mike Richards. I have two other jersey’s in the car with no name plate on them. LeClair did look like the least engaging of the 3 but still nice guy
