The expectations are for Michkov to dominate ala vintage Ovechkin and the Flyers to announce their retool is finished by breezing into playoffs. At least those are the rumors.

I must be one of those “dumb” fans who don’t hate-watch my favorite team.

The lack of awareness some have here 😆

They hate the team, hate the players, hate the direction, hate management, hate the direction…

Yet they watch every game, follow every article and post, discuss the team every day. With strangers. And they hate every second of it.

I couldn't agree more. I just don't understand folks that hate this team so much and yet they post about the same crap every friggin day! I kind of feel bad for Bill. He works his ass off to put out blogs virtually every day and yet it just gets polluted with the same ole crap from the same miserable folks day after day. If you hate the team that much and openly root for their failures then go root for another team. WTF!!!

Hate the team? Never.
Hate the players? No…but do want more talent. Do see a need for new players.
Hate the direction? Really uncertain of what that is…the rhetoric doesn’t match the what they are doing.
Hate management? Not in the least. I like all three actually but do see Torts role starting to run its course. I hope what ever they are trying to do some how works. I just don’t see a rebuild in the true sense of what it actually is…
This place is a spot to discuss what and where the team is.
Do I watch and enjoy every game? On some levels yes. On another level I do long for the days of when the Flyers were relevant.

I think most of the fans just don’t post It’s amazing how much hatred to this team is found on here but go back for years and you’ll see it’s the same few names…..go flyers.

But saying Buium is the next Cale Makar isn’t?

The folks who cry “don’t tell me how to be a fan” then turn around and insult everyone else’s intelligence because we refuse to act as miserable as them on a daily basis - and then tell us how to be a fan.

This “higher plane of fandom” some of you are on because “you see through the lies” or whatever rhetoric is bouncing around on that particular day - is pathetic.

The whining is not a badge of superiority. It’s just whining. If that’s your style of posting, have at it. But just know it’s lame when it’s every day.

This is how I feel in general. I long for the days when we had season tickets (1985-2005) and almost every season was something to look forward to cause you knew they had a chance to win it all in many of those seasons. Aside from the late 80's and early 90's they were always considered one of the contenders. That being said, I have hated the last decade plus and haven't bought a ticket since the 2012 playoff series against the Pens. I hated when Briere passed on Buium at this year's draft and I hated his reasoning even more! However, I have to have hope that brighter days are ahead. They have some good young players and 6 draft picks in the first 2 rounds in a deep draft next year. I think they will be able to score this season with the potential of at least six 20 goal scorers (Coots, Tippett, Foerster, TK, Farabee, Michkov and Frost), but the defense and goaltending remains a serious concern to me. I get that folks are pissed, but to hate the team to the point that you are rooting for their failure is completely beyond me. Thanks!

Out of all the posters on here, I can think of maybe two that have expressed hatred of the team. It is intellectually stupid to label others as miserable due to expressing frustration or disapproval of the team and how it has performed and operated.

That being said, I have hated the last decade plus and haven't bought a ticket since the 2012 playoff series against the Pens. I hated when Briere passed on Buium at this year's draft and I hated his reasoning even more!

It’s why he’s so encompassed in analytics and stats - he’s a nerd who needs to feel involved with the game somehow and that’s his only “in” 😂

He’s never learned anything about hockey from coaches, teammates, doing drills, being in a locker room. He watches YouTube videos 😂

There’s lots of sports movies out there if you need a glimpse into a locker room though. Give that a try.

Hayes is already onto another team and Angelo will have to go to Russia to cash a check playing hockey. He didn't like Ryan Johansan and Colorado couldn't wait to get him outta there. I am a tad frustrated…mainly that it has been a long time since the team has been relevant. But I do have hope in a bunch of the youngsters. I guess that’s something. It’s hard to be sunshine and roses when it appears it’s the same old same old. I would not ever cheer against them, that’s not going to happen, but I also am not going to hold back what I consider warranted criticism.
I mean so many were upset they almost made the playoffs because of the draft position….then they just took a kid that would have been there had they been a 1rst round knock out anyways….lol…hence why I always want them to win.

We are blessed with the best blogger on this site that alone should be enough to praise. The team has some issues both past and present. But the fans who just want to love our team and root to win every game is a good thing. We’re not Pittsburgh we’re not going to lose intentionally to draft a Crosby. Snider wouldn’t have wanted that and I’m glad that that is one heritage that stuck. Stuck in mediocre times can suck like four more years of Biden but a few hits and this team can be good. They absolutely outplayed expectations last year
