Notwithstanding the gigantic hole in the line up and locker room... the emotional pain will be the real hurdle to clear..

My advise - play the way Johnny did and enjoy the game as he did.... that would honor him the best I believe.

Please retire his jersey, whether it be both Calgary and Columbus or the league.


Calgary and Columbus will, but a little knee-jerk to suggest the entire league but him on a plain with only one other man, #99. He was a good hockey player and didn't deserve to die, but are you sincerely suggesting to rip the numbers off the back of all other #13 and put it in the rafters?

Zak,

I would love to read where that was written or discussed. The CBJ will be badly hurt this year, but professional athletes and franchises are not going to be crushed by something like this.

I think the team may well over-perform expectations after this tragedy. When tough times come, athletes usually bow their neck and work harder. We will see what happens.
