So are we allowed to love the Red Wings this year or what have the goons on here said? I haven’t been paying attention to the therapy sessions in here lately so I’m unsure if I should support or hate the wings this year on this website.
Personally I love the Wings and what they are doing but I know a lot of people here like to hate/whine about nonsense so I don’t want to be dragged down by the stones again.

There's a lot of 40 and under in the Red Wing crowd who've never know the team to be bad, so it's understandable, they made the playoffs 25 consecutive seasons from 1991 to 2016, not counting the cancelled 2004–05 season, going to the Stanley Cup finals six times, winning four of them.

Five years building under Steve Yzerman is an eternity to them.

I totally agree with this post, Kasper has earned a slot to show what he can do with top six forwards. Also we need the grit that Watson will bring with teams like Ottawa who have had there way with Detroit the last couple of years. The NHL is again starting to get tougher and throughout the 25 year playoff run we always had a player or 2 that had other teams watching what they did. I agree we have vetran players that we can waive and realistically no one will touch because of there contracts ( Copp, Holl, Husso). Let’s start our season with who has earned the right to be in Detroit. On a side note I believe Yzerman made a huge mistake not signing Ghost and replacing him with Gustafson who seems worse defensively and not as good offensively.

Watson is a knucklehead, you would do better to trade for Reaves, which would cost peanuts. At least he is smarter and can win a fight.
Could have had Ludwig yesterday off waivers.
Kasper could stay, find a RD to trade for and use Berggren for part of the return. Hopefully they give Holl a chance and he pans out, but that is sketchy.
