Good. I honestly didn't expect to ever see Poulin again since he wasn't a Dubas pick and Sully never seemed to like him. Glad to see him earning another shot. |

I am starting to live in a fantasy land where we sell off some people like Poulin to former Pens org people like GMJR, Alvin, Guerin, whomever. |

Blom deserves the start. He hasnt done anything that suggests otherwise. |

Wrote this at end of last blog. Rust, Rackell, Acciari, Pulj, and Puustinen all are best at RW. I'd scratch Puustinen and put Poulin in. He plays all 3 forward spots and fits more as a fourth liner. |

Glad to see Poulin getting his chance. If I recall correctly, Rust and Jake both took their leaps forward around this age. I don't think he has that kind of upside but would be nice to see him build a foundation for a 3rd line spot next season.
I'd expect Ned to be traded soon. Can't imagine we find a taker for Jarry and it would be nonsense to send Blomqvist to the AHL when he has been our best goalie. Montreal needs a goalie badly, Ned would be a good fit for them.
Montreal has Mailloux sitting in the minors for some ungodly reason (over a PPG in the AHL and good when he was in the NHL). I'd be putting together a package for him as our long term Letang replacement. |

Big time agree. I understand Jarry will get another shot, but Blomqvist is their best guy. Surprised they kept him up, glad he's getting the next start after how well we played against the Caps. |

Sounds like he isn't in today. I don't expect them to make Poulin a priority like a former #1 would be or even to get an automatic shot.
In his favor is the team didn't sign any vet forwards besides Imama, so Poulin, Bennstrom, and Gruden are going to be the call up guys until one of Dubas's prospects is deemed ready. |

Turned the game on just in time for the stars goal and I thought it was Jarry in net at first. |

Just turned it on and stars went up 5-0. Took me min to realize how early it was and only the first.
I feel like after a loss like this something happens. Reminds me of Roys last game in Mtl. |

I bet Sullivan is telling them to play really fast and with speed right now. Really really fast. |

My expectation was for someone to be pissed enough to show-up & drop em. Paying fans should call it an early night too. |

I agree. That’s not the culture Sullivan has built though. It’s more of a lay down and die sort of thing. |

Watching the game just because…
Watching the Pens broadcast and the guys at intermission are blaming the goalie … 😬😬😬😬from what I’ve seen the Pens have been doing him no favors. |

That escalated quickly... Not saying it is all on him, but Blomqvist might have made Dubas decision on who goes back down easier. |
