I think Pickle's plan was a solid one - restore the original lines with Mika getting third line minutes.

You mean Miller, not Schneider as Braden is with Jones

Team looks disinterested- have they given up on Lavi too? How many coaches will this core go through? "it's getting goddamn ridiculous!"

Regarding the Jets- they look like us when we play well - east/ west, pretty but soft on the backend- Pionk will get pounded; an early playoff out!

If the rangers have balls you trade Lindgren and miller. Get two defensive dmen. Been saying it since ‘22 the rangers don’t have a number 2 or 3 dman. Fox isn’t playing well but getting dragged down by Lindgren. Move Zib to line 3 and bump chytl or Tro back with Laf and panarin, zib decline is horrific. You can’t win a cup with him I’m sorry

My new plan is to bench him until he agrees to a trade

What was up with him being looked at before that faceoff in the second period? I heard it on the radio but didn't see it.

At the time (or, when I watched it at 11pm), it looked like it could've been an illness sort of thing. But, now I'm wondering if maybe he wears contacts?

I've said it before. I truly believe Lavi needs to get the balls to sit out Zib and some others a game or two to hopefully show they have to earn their keep or get their heads right. The players can piss and moan all they want, but at the end of the day its a business and failure is unacceptable when being paid.

Eventually unchecked lazy play will fester in the locker room and erode team morale. This is where Lavi needs to step up.

As a coach there are a series of remedies you try before the hard line of sitting a player out. Different deployment in games, changes to practice routines, changes in linemates, extra time exposure to likely positive outcomes (i.e. powerplays, and Ozone starts, etc...)

We see some of this manifest itself on the ice, but not all of it. Inevitably you (and others) are right about sitting in the pressbox and feeling that sting. Laviolette will get to it eventually...I think.

I agree with everything you said. I have come to my conclusion based on a lot of the above seeming to have occurred, coupled with that Mika and some others are actually negatively impacting the teams chances of winning. Wake up calls can be good, even if it pisses the player off.

Kreider and Smith looked like they came up to him to let him know something was up. No idea. We'll never know because the NHL doesn't talk about anything

On why he went to the locker room for a few minutes during the second period, Zibanejad said, “I just felt off and needed a breather.” It sounds like whatever it was caught him off guard but he called it “nothing major.” #NYR

i have a #source that's around the nhl, and MSG.

they are telling me that like 1/4 of the team is sick, and obviously its being passed around the room. but that hunched over look zib had; and those of us with kinds can confirm we've all done the same running to the bathroom lol
