Hopefully we see Knies and Matthews show up Saturday to play, like Triple H and Shawn Michael's coming out to D/X music, taking the ice like they're entering the ring. or even the hulksters music.

You need warriors in the playoffs and Marner will never be that, and the Leafs still need that, so if they pay Marner what he thinks he is worth, they will seal their fate for years. Losing in the playoffs.

Might be different this year. We aren't the soft as butter team as we have been before. Our bottom 6 can mostly play and throw hits. It will be harder to focus on Marner like in the past with the depth this team has, with Knies emergence and not even a TDL add yet. Reliable defenseman and goaltenders are big for confidence and not magnifying every mistake. Imo Marner needs to find a way to make the PP click. It's been consistently a major part in our playoff lack of success.

Ok, how many impact players are "warriors" in the playoffs? Not a very long list imo....and guess what? Matthews isnt on that list either.
Marner has 50pts in 57 playoff games
Matthews has 48pts in 55 playoff games

Good stats but unfortunately most of their points occur in non elimination games or in games early in the series.

Looking at it objectively, from a just talking hockey, objective, perspective - I objectively don't like Florida's chances in this game. I'm feeling 6-0 Leafs, fancy Nylander hat trick, Marner, JT, plain Nylander
