While I would like Giroux to be extended, I'm not sure why you had to go out of your way to mention it in your article. He's probably a fringe Top 6 at this point in his career and may not qualify as such by next year. He offers leadership and that's why I'd extend him but only on a team friendly contract and one year at a time.
