First, I wish you all a safe and prosporous new year. If folks treatedeach other the waywe do here, it'd be a damn sight better than it is now. Even when we diagree,we listen and respect opposing opinions. And Jeremy always makes us think critically and leads the us is respect. This group is truly impressive.

Now, what a game. This team is changing, defending with intent, playing with intent. Mac's starting to get ROI from the D, Bergy's been playing a really solid fore-check, and Veleno's playing well on the 1st line. Tarasenk's concerning; he's not shooting to points on G - it's like he's just throwing the puck toward the offensive boards. Feels like he's lost his game. But, some of the vets are starting to evolve. I like what I see with Kane, if he can stay like he is now, he's going to be a more deadly shooter. His puck movement is insane. Lyons was a brick wall. Good things, and you can sense a change in how the game is being played. Will ve interesting to see how the TDL shapes up, who goes and who gets NHL ice-time at the end of the season; that's a bit of insight into how next season's line-up may very well look like.

This was just a good game. Stay the course.

I like that Veleno has the wheels and muscle to skate with those guys and create space. He’ll benefit on the scoresheet and they have someone out there that can cause issues. JB’s face after that breakaway, man I hope that’s a breakthrough moment. He looked like he was skating taller. Kane looks energized. The “bump” at least got guys skating. More than that, those simple D zone outlets are a breath of fresh air

By no means am I opining the firing of Lalonde will propel us to the SCF. Rather, there's a discernable change overall in this team since that happened. There are the same guys, personnel hasn't changed. What we've seen thus far is what I've been saying - as have many others here: This team is agoodteam, we just need competent coaching. That's now happened, and we're seeing changes already. Good things lie ahead!
