Good read on Watson. There’s no doubt that he’s had a major impact in GR. That, despite the fact that any systemic plans run for the DRW was abysmal. That shows he’s the real deal. Am interested to see how GRG evolves with the systems that Todd Mac brings in.
One thing for sure: We are on a much better trajectory now.

What impressed me talking to the coach was how much he emphasized focusing on your own work ethic and execution as opposed to extensive scouting of the other team. Practices sounded intense and it was about the team being better. It’s a little old school but very effective. I’d like to see a little less ipad usage in game in the NHL to see players in the game. During a break, fine. Absolutely go for it. Watson is a throw back and to be frank, looks like he could do some damage himself! As much as I want kids coming up, I think it was healthier mentally and developmentally for those who stayed down this year so far
