Why does Chytil, a center, only have 7 assists. Is he terrible as a puck distributor or does he have poopty linemates?

He likes to hang onto the puck.

third line minutes and he was injured and missed a bunch of games. Also gets virtually no PP time

Hard to believe the hawks beat them in MSG. If they could just string a few wins in a row now for gods sake

For what?? I thought you said you want them to tank the season?

Hes not really a playmaker, he gets the puck and shoots. Ever since Berard got called up, that line has been one of the more consistently visible lines.

I would unload him for just about anything- he's a ticking time bomb for another inevitable head injury.

No, Im not letting you off the hook, you said yesterday that you would rather them punt the season.

Now after one game and beating the worst team in the league, you think they are contenders again??

Make up your mind.

Yes you’re starting a fight over me saying “hey it would be nice to win a few in a row?” Is this correct?

I’m a realist Brukie. I don’t see a path to the playoffs and if they got there doing any damage. But as a fan of a team it’s too early to not want them to win games. Besides, I’m easily pulled back in

Oh god Kakko has a couple pts, but he still skates like a baby giraffe unlike Berard

Stop stalking me and you’re now on ignore

After St. Louis recently won the Cup when they were last in the league at this point in the schedule, no GM will throw in the towel on their season yet. Especially with an owner like Dolan always wanting to be relevant/seats to be filled.
BY NO MEANS am I saying that I believe we are winning the Cup. Just that they won't tear anything down at this point. I truly hope they don't do anything to mortgage the future for a Hail Mary, but I certainly won't be shocked either. I wouldn't trade anyone aged 24 or under, with the possible (likely) exception of K'Andre.
I'm seeing better efforts from the players in the last week, but haven't noticed any renewed sense of passion from the coaching staff. No idea where we go from here.

4 points in 7 games for Seattle.
14 points in 30 games for NY.
Hovering around 0.5 pts/game for both teams.

I think that is the telling part. The last 5 to 6 games they have been trying and putting in effort. But before playing an awful Chicago team last night they still get dominated most games. I am pretty confident Drury’s won’t let a result like last night change his plan he seems to have of selling off parts and changing up the core

This whole last two months they haven’t been able to string wins together or even get loser pts. This is what will end up being their demise imo. Unless they go on a crazy streak which is just hard to believe they can do based on what we’ve seen. Hope is different than realism.

The juice they need is in Hartford where they should call up othmann and let him play a regular shift. But that doesn’t seem likely until Smith gets moved probably. I think Drury wants the youth movement to kick in over anything therefore he isn’t trading any of our prospects and why I’m being patient with all this and not killing him, specifically. Perrault too you’d think could be on the radar for this year too. Much like Kreider back in the old days

Dumping Zib seems really difficult to do…so with that this could be the lineup next year (mixing matching RWs). D is where they need to spend the money they may have

Panarin Trocheck Laf
Cuylle Chytil Berard
Othmann ZiB Perrault
Edstrom Carrick Sykora
Rempe

xxxx Fox
xxxx Schneider
Vaakaninen Borgen
(I think they’d like to keep Borgen imo, and to a certain degree Urho)
Mancini 7th D

Shesty
Garand

It’s hard to see Miller coming back at this point as anything more than 50-50. I’d push hard for Provorov or Chychrun to play with Fox. If they want to get the best out of Fox they need to sign someone long term for him
