There's a litany of issues that started right from the beginning of the season up until this point, and I personally believe some of them carried over from last year. The personal issues.

They aren't getting the same quality of goaltender, yes Lankinen has been good, but he's not been as good as Demko's start last season. The defense is just not as good as last year, both individually and as a team. JT and Petey aren't providing the same offense as they were last year. Which goes back to the personal issues they have between them.

JT had 30 points in the first 20 games last year, Petey had 26 points in the the first 20 games, their rift is just killing the team. As they go, the team goes, that ain't happening this year.

I try not to get caught up in 1 season of career years and prefer to look at the body of work over several seasons.
